NASC and GOED form strategic partnership in pet supplement sector

The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) is pleased to announce its strategic partnership with GOED, the Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s. This alliance unites two quality-focused organizations that are leaders in their respective industries and benefits members of both through resource sharing, educational opportunities, and customized member promotions.

GOED is the only organization focused specifically on increasing consumption of EPA and DHA omega-3s around the world. Its 180+ members represent the entire supply chain from fisheries and crude oil suppliers to refiners, concentrators and brands. GOED’s extensive network helps members expand and grow their businesses. Its activities focus on maintaining quality standards, educating consumers and healthcare professionals, furthering the science, and advocating for members with governments and NGOs throughout the world. GOED also offers comprehensive data on the global omega-3 supply chain, consumer market research in 20+ countries and scientific, regulatory and technical expertise.

“Like the NASC, GOED began as a grassroots organization that has grown into a leading voice, successfully advocating for and helping to shape the future of their industry,” said NASC president Bill Bookout. “The GOED focus on maintaining quality standards is right in line with everything the NASC stands for, and this collaboration that will benefit our memberships and our industries makes complete sense.”

GOED managing director Ellen Schutt agreed. “A partnership between GOED and NASC is the perfect way to amplify the quality focus of both of our organizations and keep our members informed about the growing pet supplement market.”
