Natural Life Pet Expands Recall – Elevated Vitamin D

Natural Life Pet Products of Saint Louis, Missouri, has voluntarily expanded its recall of Natural Life Chicken & Potato Dry Dog Food after it was confirmed the formula contains elevated levels of vitamin D.

Dogs that have ingested too much vitamin D may exhibit symptoms such as vomiting, loss of appetite, increased thirst, increased urination, excessive drooling, and weight loss. Vitamin D when consumed at very high levels can lead to serious health issues in dogs including renal dysfunction. Consumers with dogs that have eaten the recalled product and are exhibiting symptoms should contact their veterinarian.

Consumers should immediately stop feeding the product listed below, which was distributed to retail stores in Alabama, California, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. Affected bags have the following UPC and best-by date code:
