The NASC is pleased to be featured in the September 2018 issue of WholeFoods Magazine. The article, “Mirror Image: What’s Hot in Human Health Is Hot in Pet Health, Too” is written for the natural products retailer and discusses the growing consumer demand for pet products equivalent in quality to human products as more and more pet owners treat their companion animals as true members of the family.
Bill Bookout, NASC president, provided insight about the growing number of human dietary supplement companies making their foray into the animal space, and was able to point readers to the NASC website to view the member list and learn about the NASC Quality Seal.
Bookout also touched on topics ranging from the recent growth of hemp-based supplements to how important it is for independent retailers to provide product education and excellent customer service, which helps differentiate them from big box stores and online retailers.
