Fromm recalls 5,500 cases of shredded entrée canned dog food due to elevated levels of Vitamin D

Fromm Family Foods of Mequon, Wisconsin has issued a voluntary recall of approximately 5,500 cases (66,000 cans) of  Fromm shredded entrée canned dog food due to potentially elevated levels of Vitamin D. Consumers should stop feeding their dogs the products listed below and either return them to the retailer they were purchased from or contact Fromm directly by phone at 1-800-325-6331 or by email at info@frommfamily.com (Mon. – Fri., 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Central time).

No reports of illness or injury have been reported from consumers to date, however Fromm management has determined it is prudent to pull these four lots out of distribution because excess levels of Vitamin D in the diet can lead to potential adverse reactions in all size dogs.
