Gisele Atkinson serves as Compliance Specialist at NASC, bringing 25 years of quality and regulatory expertise from the dietary supplement industry. Her extensive background building quality systems for companies provides unique insight into helping animal supplement manufacturers and marketing distributors achieve certification and maintain compliance.
Gisele holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology with a minor in Biotechnology from the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada. She is a Certified Quality Auditor and previously worked in quality and regulatory compliance and also serves as a voting member on NSF Standards Joint Committee, GMP for Dietary Supplements, and Joint Committee on Dietary Supplements.
Gisele’s expertise helps NASC members navigate the certification process from start to finish, providing comprehensive support through label training, NAERS guidance, and CGMP education. Her experience successfully completing NASC audits from the member side—as well as achieving zero FDA observations during a two-day FDA audit—gives her practical understanding of the challenges manufacturers and marketing distributors face and how to address them effectively.
A dedicated animal lover, Gisele shares her Lakeland, Florida property with an extensive menagerie including a horse, two dogs (a Border Collie and an Australian Shepherd), five cats, two ducks, and chickens. Outside of work, Gisele enjoys caring for her animals and spending time with her family, including her two children and her parents who live on the property.
