Bill Parker serves as Business Development Manager at the NASC, bringing diverse technical and quality control experience to the companion animal supplement industry. Since joining NASC in 2018, he has worked primarily with the Preferred Supplier Program, helping finished product manufacturers qualify their vendors and maintain the quality standards required for NASC certification.
Bill’s professional background includes service as a crypto technician in the U.S. Air Force, followed by roles in pharmacy technology and agricultural technology. He studied business administration at Alfred University in New York. This varied experience provides him perspective on quality assurance, verification processes, and the importance of maintaining rigorous standards across supply chains.
Bill’s expertise helps NASC members identify qualified suppliers and ensures gaps in the supply chain are addressed as new product categories emerge in the marketplace. He works to expand awareness of NASC standards and the Quality Seal, which has gained recognition across major retail platforms. His role supports NASC’s mission by connecting quality-focused suppliers with manufacturers committed to transparency and regulatory compliance.
Based in Des Moines, Iowa, Bill is currently a pet owner to Poppy, a German Shepherd-Lab mix, Gypsy, a terrier mix, and a cat. He shares his home with his wife Jenny, who also serves on the NASC team. Bill is a father and grandfather who values the bonds families form with their companion animals.
